CPAN Display Advertising


To Place a Display Ad
Simply call your local FCPNY Publisher, or contact CPAN's Executive Director, Dan Holmes by email or phone at 315-472-6007 or 877-275-2726.
Select any or all of our three zones (Western, Central or Downstate).
We'll process your ad information in the CPAN ad format (proof available) and distribute to our network for their next issue.
Important Information for CPAN Display Advertising


Each Publication will have the freedom to enlarge, reduce or float your ad(s) to fit the format of their paper.
All ads must meet advertising guidelines of this program.
Publishers retain the right to omit any ad submitted which does not meet their standards for advertising.
Publishers will not be asked to run "blind" ads.
Ads will be run in a specified classification if available. Otherwise, they will run in the general section.
No Cancellations or changes may be made on multi-week runs.
Ads will be sent out to the specified publications on Mondays (Tuesday when Monday is a holiday) for insertion in the next available issue. Deadline for submitting ads is noon on Friday.

Important Information for CPAN Classified Advertising
What is a Word: telephone numbers, including area code; the entire business name; the entire address are considered one word.
All ads must meet advertising guidelines of this program.
Publishers retain the right to omit any ad submitted which does not meet their standards for advertising.
Publishers will not be asked to run "blind" ads.
Ads will be run in a specified classificatoin if available. Otherwise, they will run in the general section.
No Cancellations or changes may be made on multi-week runs.

CPAN Advertising Terms and Conditions

All ads sold into the classified ad network must adhere to the following guidelines. Ad screening rules will be strictly enforced.
Any political or personal opinion/religious ad must have the name and address of the person or group placing the ad printed in the ad. The ad must be verified for authenticity by your organization before submitting to CPAN.
All ads submitted to CPAN must be accompanied by name, street & city address, & phone number of person submitting the ad. If the person is submitting the ad for an organization, the name of the organization must also be included.
Ads that require or encourage sending money through the mail will not be accepted.
Ads concerning "Work At Home" schemes such as stuffing envelopes, home assembling, etc., will not be accepted.
Employment ads should clearly state the position they have to offer & whether the salary (if stated) is weekly, monthly, etc. Information must be available at no charge.
No ads from companies selling information regarding GOVERNMENT SURPLUS, government real estate, government homes, government vehicles, general government help wanted, etc will be accepted.
Adoption advertising must be accompanied by a letter from an attorney attesting to the legality of the proposed adoption.
No credit card, personal loan, mortgage ads will be accepted unless from established, bona fide lending institutions, or licensed mortgage brokers.
No ads promoting chain letters will be accepted.
900# ads must disclose per minute charges and any base fees or minimum charges. Ads offering products or service for a fee must clearly state what fee is required.
Mail order ads and ads offering literature must be accompanied with an information packet, catalogue, etc. whatever information readers answering the ad will receive. This information must be forwarded to the Executive Director.
No controversial ads will be accepted.
Ads are subject to approval and/or verification of the Executive Director for compliance to CPAN guidelines. Ads not in compliance will be returned to the submitting publication.
